Colossus

The XCarb blend with a thicker wall: a little more weight and power for energetic playing, still lighter than hickory. About 6 percent lighter than hickory and, by Techra’s figures, six to eight times as durable. Balanced at the center, matched in pairs, with the Anti Vibration System. XCarb

Techra’s lightest stick: about 12 percent lighter than hickory and about four times as durable, for a fast, refined touch. Balanced at the center, matched in pairs, with the Anti Vibration System. The 7A RT has a round tip for a darker, deeper sound on cymbals, a good fit for jazz. The Black Diamond

Techra’s longest-lasting stick: a patented bio-based compound with carbon fiber, rated by Techra at more than ten times the life of hickory, with the same weight and a very similar rebound. Balanced at the center and matched in pairs, with Techra’s Anti Vibration System: a long rubber end cap that keeps vibration from reaching your arm. The resin comes from a plant that keeps growing, and the stick is recyclable at the end of its life.
